So Spring is nearing it's end here with only 3 weeks left! Spring is way to windy and the "in between" weather needs to make up its mind.


Summer is my favourite season, not only for the fashion but just the mere fact that you can go outside and enjoy the day. Whether it is sitting reading a book, going to a theme park or just going for a swim (for me just to have the option makes me happy).


So to make the best of my Summer and to get prepared, I'm going to make a Summer bucket list:

1. Swim in the ocean [Living so close to the beach and having a swimming pool of my own, it's easy to take for granted the beautiful ocean (also I'm am a little intimidated by the ocean and it's unknown creatures).]

2. Learn how to do a back flip into the pool

3. Go on a picnic at the gardens

4. Read some feel good books

5. Have fruit salad for breakfast, lunch and supper one day       

  

6. Document my Summer in pictures                                             

7. Learn how to "braai" (similar concept a BBQ) 

8. Go to a theme park (Ratanga Junction)

9. Hopeful go on a road trip up country

10. Spend it with the people I LOVE!

Cannot wait for Summer!! I hope you enjoy/enjoyed yours this year :)

Styling long hair

Having long hair requires a lot of time consuming maintenance. Figuring out what to do with it all can be just as time consuming. So since I cannot do any of these hair styles myself (hence no tutorials) here's some inspirational hair-do's to gawk over and inspire you :) enjoy!

Obsessions: Lana Del Rey

I have recently (more recent than I care to admit) discovered the indie beauty that is Lana Del Rey. After one day randomly searching her name on YouTube- after hearing it and seeing it on various social media- I have become ADDICTED. Her music comes from a place of truth, pain, joy and honesty which pleases my soul to no end.

I am in love with her style, her music, her voice, her EVERYTHING! She has a very touching background story making her someone after my own heart.

She deserves much more recognition for what she is doing and in time I hope she gets it. All this success I hope she gets without being over-played on the radio and commercialized into something superficial and fake.

Lifestyle change

So with 3 months until Summer it is time to get fit and healthy so I can be comfortable in my Summer clothing.

So in my efforts to live a healthier lifestyle I have already given up red meat so now it is time to try to cut down on my sugar and starch intake (which is unfortunately excessive the body I have). On top of that I am going to try to make some healthy substitutions for some food I would like reduce consumption in.

Let's hope it works out.
